Adopting a child is a significant and life changing event. Yet a large number of couples will make the decision this year to decide The US Citizenship and Immigration Service helps determine the eligibility of parents who want to adopt children from other countries. It also maintains the responsibility for determining the eligibility of a child who will be immigrating to the US through adoption.
Most people who have made the decision to adopt are married. Couples who are married and wish to adopt through the Orphan process must both sign the I-600 form. You do not have to be married to immigrate a child through adoption. However, you do have to be at least 25 years old.
